MAC is an outdoor education provider based in the North East of England and is currently providing outdoor education programmes for many different educational establishments throughout the North of England.
MAC has a great deal of experience in providing schools and colleges with unique and specific educational programmes, utilising the outdoors as a medium for the development of the young people on the programme.
MAC is a licensed AALA provider and as a result can provide activities to young people conforming to the guidelines laid down in the license. (Copies of the license and any further documentation such as insurance (£5m liability) and staff details etc can be obtained upon request).

Alternative Education programmes

MAC’s growth and development as a company has been brought about by it’s expertise and ability to offer outdoor education programmes to meet the specific needs of the clients. Providing the clients with an opportunity to stimulate, engage and enthuse students who might be finding it difficult to express themselves appropriately within the normal school environment.
Programmes are delivered to suit the schools needs, however they can run for 1 day a week in a term/half term or the school might feel a residential experience would benefit the students better over an agreed period of time.

Leadership & Personal development Programmes

MAC has long recognised the use of the outdoors as an ideal medium for the development of leadership, organisation and communication skills within young people. To achieve the desired effect MAC provides the participants with an opportunity to take part in an expedition either based in the UK or abroad. With the participants taking responsibility for many aspects of the expedition under the guidance of MAC staff. This could involve destination, budget etc.
